NABIS Call Out

UK Map showing Hubs Northern Hub Central Hub The Central Hub

Forces should call the NABIS answering machine or read web content outside of normal working hours to evaluate the situation against NABIS call out criteria (hyperlink back to criteria page). Normal working hours are 0730 to 1800hrs Monday to Friday.

The NABIS answer phone provides the contact number for the West Midlands Police Force Control Centre (WMP FCC). If you are not aware of the NABIS answering machine number please consult with your NABIS Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) or contact your own force control room and ask for the West Midlands Police Force Control Centre number.

WMP FCC contact West Midlands Police duty Detective Superintendent who will contact you.

If the Detective Superintendent needs any further advice in order to make a decision he/she may contact a member of the NABIS Senior Management Team (SMT) for advice.

If the callout is authorised the Duty Detective Superintendent will instruct the caller to contact the Duty Ballistic Expert between 0600 and 1800hrs on any weekend or Bank Holiday.

The Duty Ballistic Expert will then make any further decisions. If in alignment with the call out and submission criteria, the Duty Ballistic Expert will arrange for the NABIS hub to be opened.

The Central and Northern Hubs will be providing weekend cover for their own forces.
