The NABIS Intelligence Cell brings together partners from various agencies and forces such as the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), UK Border Agency (UKBA), West Midlands Police, Greater Manchester Police and the Metropolitan Police Service as well as dedicated NABIS Intelligence Cell Staff.

The NABIS Intelligence Cell is tasked with developing, understanding and disseminating both the strategic and tactical intelligence associated with the information within the NABIS database as well as other intelligence sources connected to fighting firearms criminality.
The NABIS Intelligence Cell is developing and delivering intelligence packages on a daily basis, this often involves complex narratives relating to the use of criminally held firearms.

Tactically the NABIS Intelligence Cell will ensure that once a ballistic connection has been established by one of the NABIS Hubs a dissemination package will be prepared and forwarded to the relevant organisation or organisations.

The NABIS Intelligence Cell will issue a quarterly bulletin to forces and agencies. This strategic report will include information relating to firearms movements within and between forces

The NABIS Intelligence Cell will periodically issue national problem profiles, officer safety information bulletins and intelligence alerts as and when required.
