Merseyside Police is investigating a firearms incident in Toxteth last night (Thursday, 19 March).
At about 9.50pm a report was received that shots had been fired at an address on St Lawrence Close.
Officers attended and found damage to a rear window of a property consistent with a shotgun discharge.
No one was injured during the incident.
The scene was sealed for forensic examination, house-to-house enquiries are underway and patrols have been stepped up in the area.
An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is underway.
At this stage the incident is believed to be targeted and enquiries are on-going to see if the incident is linked to any other recent firearm incidents.
