An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the National Ballistics Intelligence Service (NABIS) at the Birmingham Central Hub as driver on a permanent contract. You will be part of a diverse and committed team, reporting directly to the Central Hub manager.
NABIS plays a crucial part in UK policing as part of the NPCC's portfolio, providing fast-time intelligence linked to the criminal use of firearms. NABIS supports police forces in England, Wales and Scotland as well as partner law enforcement agencies by linking firearms incidents across the UK to help develop a national understanding of the use, supply, importation and manufacture of illegal firearms.Key post holder responsibilities will be to;
This role is offered on a permanent contract and working hours are generally 36.5 per week Monday to Friday, though on occasions there be a necessity to work additional hours and occasionally at weekends.
Within this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a national collection and delivery service for exhibits, transferring them between the Central Hub and police forces across the UK.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 24th February 2021. Interviews will take place between Monday 8th March and Friday 12th March at the Central Hub.
