Merseyside Police Appeal After Man Shot

Officers are in attendance following an injury shooting in Huyton this morning (Tuesday, 17 November).
Emergency services were called to Parkside Close at around 11.50am to reports a man in his 30s received injuries to his legs consistent with a shotgun discharge. He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No one else has been injured.
At this early stage of the investigation, the full circumstances of the incident are unclear and the motive is unknown.
Officers and Crime Scene Investigators remain at the scene and extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of what happened. CCTV from the area will be sought and witnesses spoken to.
Detectives from the force's Matrix Serious Organised Crime unit are leading the investigation into the shooting and officers are keeping an open mind as to the motive.
Uniformed officers have stepped up patrols inHuyton to provide reassurance to the local community.
