Police Appeal After Shots Fired In Sheffield

Detectives have launched an investigation and are asking if you have any information after shots were reportedly fired in Sheffield last night (Wednesday 22 June).
 
At about 9pm, officers were called to the City Road area, close to the junction with Eastern Avenue, following reports that shots had been fired at a silver car.
 
It is believed that the riders of two mopeds fired shots at the car. No one was injured during the incident.
 
Detective Sergeant John Yoxall, said: "Resources were immediately sent to the area to establish the full circumstances of the incident and this remains a priority for our team.
 
"While I understand incidents like this are worrying, we believe the people involved are known to each other and that this was a targeted attack.
 
"Officers currently remain in the area carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to members of the community.
 
"If you have any information about what happened last night, please call us on 101 quoting incident number 1190 of 22 June 2016."
