Detectives investigating the murder of 16-year-old Lewis Dunne have bailed a 20-year-old man from Anfield and a 21-year-old man from Kirkdale, pending further enquiries. Both men were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of murder.
Merseyside Police launched a murder investigation following the shooting of the teenager in Liverpool on Sunday, 15 November.
Officers were called reports of a shooting on a towpath near Burrows Court, Eldonian Village, just before 11.10pm.
The 16-year-old boy, who was found by a member of the public, was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, where he died a short while later.
